'Cats Set to Visit George Mason

The Davidson baseball team is on the road this weekend when it visits George Mason for a three-game Atlantic 10 Conference series, beginning Friday at 2 p.m.
At the midpoint of the season, the Wildcats are 12-14 overall and 4-5 in the A-10.
LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• Davidson is coming off a 14-9 loss at Duke on Tuesday, when the Wildcats hit a season-best three home runs.
• Through three of 10 A-10 series, the Wildcats are in a four-way tie for fifth with George Washington, Rhode Island and Saint Louis.
• The Wildcats earned their first A-10 series victory last weekend by taking two of three games from Dayton.
• The series-clincher was a 9-8, 12-inning Wildcat win on Sunday.
• Designated hitter Anthony Torreso led off the 12th with a lined single to right-center, then scored the winning run on Aidan Rice's walk-off RBI-single to left.
• A redshirt junior, Torreso was named A-10 Player of the Week on Monday, following his performance in the Dayton series.
