Davidson Hosts Bowling Green on Saturday Night

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson welcomes Mid-American Conference foe Bowling Green to John M. Belk Arena on Saturday night. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN+. You can also listen on the Davidson Radio Network.
SERIES HISTORY
This is the fourth meeting between Davidson and Bowling Green. The Wildcats lead the series 2-1. The 'Cats beat the Falcons on the road 91-85 last season. Davidson shot 47.5 percent from the floor and made 10 three pointers. Reid Bailey, Connor Kochera, and Bobby Durkin all scored at least 20 points for Davidson. Bowling Green's Javontae Campbell dropped 30 points in the game.
The first-ever matchup was back in 1986. That Davidson team featured Derek Rucker '88 who led the team with 20.3 points per game that season. Rucker is seventh on the program's all-time scoring list (1,952) and ranks first in total steals (250) as well as three-point field goal percentage (44.5). Rucker visited campus this past August for the first time since his jersey was retired 35 years ago.
LAST TIME OUT
Davidson outlasted Charlotte 62-55 to reclaim the Battle for the Hornets' Nest Trophy on Tuesday night inside Halton Arena. Hunter Adam scored a game-high 16 points. With the 'Cats up 57-55 and 20 seconds left, Adam drilled a crucial trey to ice the game. Parker Friedrichsen and Nick Coval combined for 28 points and shot 63 percent from the floor.
HOT SHOOTING
Davidson is one of four teams in the Atlantic 10 with a field goal percentage above 50 percent (51.6). The Wildcats are also second in the league in three-point field goal percentage (43.4). The 'Cats have hit at least 10 three pointers in each of their first three games.
DAVIDSON DEPTH
The Wildcats rank eighth nationally with 46.6 bench points per game. No one played more than 24 minutes in win over Washington State on Nov. 7.
BLOCK PARTY
Sean Logan is one of 17 student athletes in Division I men's college basketball with 10 or more blocks this season. Through the first three games, Logan has 11 total blocks. The senior recorded five blocks against Washington State on Nov. 7. That was the fifth time in his career he logged at least five rejections in a game. Logan currently has 98 career blocks, which is tied for seventh in program history.

Davidson participates in the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic in Charleston, S.C. from Nov. 21-23. The first game is against Boston College on Friday, Nov. 21 at 3:30 p.m. and the second game is set for either 6:30 p.m. or 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23.
