
Second-Half Run Leads Saint Joseph’s Past Davidson in A-10 Quarters

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Behind a 22-6 second-half run, third-seeded Saint Joseph's defeated Davidson, 70-58, in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Tournament Friday evening inside PPG Paints Arena.
The Hawks, who improve to 22-10 overall, advance to Saturday's semifinals where they will meet second-seeded VCU. The Wildcats fall to 20-13 overall.
Jaiden Glover-Toscano (19), Justic Ajogbor (18) and Derek Simpson (16) combined for 53 points to lead the way for Saint Joseph's, which finished 22-of-25 at the charity stripe.
For the second straight night, Davidson struggled to find its rhythm early on the offensive end. Trailing 16-9 midway through the opening 20 minutes, the Wildcats responded with a 11-4 spurt to grab their first lead, 20-18. St. Joe's, who went to the line 17 times in the period, answered with a run of their own before taking a 33-29 advantage into the break.
After Davidson cut the deficit to one, 37-36, the Hawks responded with their game-changing streak sparked by 10 unanswered.
Josh Scovens and Roberts Blums were the lone Wildcats in double figures with 15 and 13, respectively.
Davidson shot 48 percent after intermission but finished the game just 8-of-29 (.276) from behind the 3-point line.
