A-10 Schedule Announced, 'Cats Open Conference Play On Dec. 30

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Davidson will open its 18-game Atlantic 10 men's basketball schedule at Duquesne on Wednesday, Dec. 30, the league announced Tuesday morning with the release of the 2026-27 conference schedule.
Additionally, the Wildcats will host Dayton on Saturday, Jan. 2 in their first A10 home game. All tip times will be announced at a later date.
To comprise their 18-game league slate, the Wildcats will play five opponents both at home and on the road — Duquesne, Fordham, Loyola Chicago, Richmond and Saint Joseph's. In single matchups, they'll host Dayton, George Mason, George Washington and St. Bonaventure. They'll visit La Salle, Rhode Island, Saint Louis and VCU.
Eight of the Wildcats' league games are set for Saturdays with another eight set for Wednesdays. Davidson has one league game on Sunday (Feb. 7) at Rhode Island and one league game on Tuesday (Feb. 16) at Saint Louis.
Eight of Davidson's A-10 games are set to air on national television.
"It is always exciting to see the Atlantic 10 schedule come together," said head coach Matt McKillop. "We are putting in a lot of time on the court together to get a sense of the direction we're heading because conference play always arrives quickly."
"There is something about finally seeing the dates and what lies ahead that creates an extra sense of excitement and motivation," added Coach McKillop. "There are no easy nights in the A10, and we're looking forward to the challenge."
Each A10 school gets two bye weeks throughout the season during conference play. For Davidson, these occur from Jan. 10-15 and Feb. 17-23.
