With the loss, the Wildcats fell to 1-3, while the 49ers improved to 2-2.
The 49ers hit five home runs, including a Brandon Stahlman grand slam in the 11-run second inning.
Davidson scored in the seventh when Aidan Rice doubled, then came in on Jack Cotrone's single.
Eli Putnam and Tyler Douglas had multiple hits for the Wildcats.
The teams are scheduled to meet again at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis on March 19.
