The Davidson baseball team will step into non-conference play one last time Tuesday when it hosts Atlantic Coast Conference foe Duke at 4 p.m. at Wilson Field.
It's also the final home game of the season.
Â
The Wildcats are 24-22 overall after splitting a four-game Atlantic 10 series with George Mason over the weekend.
Â
Duke enters 24-20 after sweeping a three-game ACC series with Virginia Tech and has won four straight games, also including a non-league contest against Wofford.
Â
The Blue Devils are coached by former Davidson pitcher Chris Pollard, who graduated in 1996, and Davidson assistant coach Ryan Munger played catcher for Pollard at Duke, graduating in 2013.
Â
"We're looking forward to playing Duke," said Davidson coach Rucker Taylor. "There are a lot of connections between our programs, and they have been playing at a high level under Coach Pollard and his staff. They had a big weekend this past weekend, and they'll be coming in with some momentum."Â
Â
It's the second meeting of the season between the teams. Duke won the March 2 contest 7-3 in Durham by overcoming a 3-1 Davidson lead with a four-run third inning.
Â

Against George Mason, Henry Koehler led the Wildcats with a .538 average (7-for-13) and seven RBIs. He had an OPS of 1.280 for the weekend.

Â
Hinderleider hit solo home runs in both games of Saturday's doubleheader sweep, helping the Wildcats stay atop the A-10 in home runs (now 58).

Hit by a pitch in the first inning of Saturday's first game, freshman Ryan Wilson tied Matt Frey '20 atop the program's single-season hit-by-pitch mark with 17.
