Wildcats Fall to Duke in Home Finale

Duke scored 13 runs in the fifth inning en route to an 18-2 win over Davidson at Wilson Field Tuesday night.

With the loss, the Wildcats are now 24-23 with four games to play.

Both Davidson runs were scored on solo home runs. Michael Carico hit a solo shot to right in the second inning to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. It's the freshman's first career home run.

Jacob Hinderleider went deep to left in the fifth inning for his sixth home run of the season and third in the last four games.

Jake Wilhoit and Trevor Candelaria had the other Wildcat hits.

Chris Crabtree led Duke with five RBIs.
