Series History
• Davidson leads the all-time series 71-24, but Wofford has won three of the last five meetings.
• The series began in the 1911-12 season with a 44-37 Terrier victory.
• Davidson is 50-10 against Wofford at home, 10-3 in Belk Arena and 19-9 under coach Bob McKillop.
Last time: Jake Cohen and De'Mon Brooks combined for 49 points, and Davidson went 19-for-24 from the free throw line en route to a 72-69 victory over Wofford in Benjamin Johnson Arena Dec. 1.
• Cohen led Davidson with 26 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field and hitting 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, while also adding five rebounds and two blocks. Brooks scored 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting (2-of-3 three-pointers) and pulled in six boards. JP Kuhlman also had six rebounds and added nine points, and Clint Mann scored six.
• Wofford held the edge in shooting, hitting 52.7 percent (29-for-55) of its shots from the field to the Wildcats' 47.1 percent (24-for-51), but Davidson sank 19 free throws to Wofford's seven. Cohen led Davidson at the line by hitting 8-of-9 attempts.
• The Terriers had four scores in double figures, with Drew Crowell leading the way with 17 points. Karl Cochran had 15 points and eight rebounds, while Kevin Giltner also had 15 points. Brad Loesing scored 13 points and led the team with five assists.
• Cochran fed the ball inside to Crowell for a layup with 47 seconds remaining to bring the Terriers back within one, but Brooks was able to slash baseline and score at the other end with 14 seconds remaining to extend the lead to three. Crowell shot a three-ball in the final seconds, but the shot went off the rim as the buzzer sounded.
Last time in Belk Arena: Cameron Rundles scored 22 points, including 20 in the first half, and Wofford survived a late Davidson run to post a 69-64 win in Belk Arena in 2011.
• Kuhlman led Davidson with 14 points, and Nik Cochran added 11. Mann scored nine, while Cohen had eight points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots.
• Noah Dahlman added 13 points and seven boards for the Terriers, and Loesing finished with nine points.
• Trailing by eight with 1:22 to play, Davidson trimmed the lead to two points in the final minute but couldn't get over the hump, which was a microcosm of the entire game. Davidson began fouling to get back in the game with 1:27 left and climbed to within 64-62 on a Cochran 3-pointer with 46 seconds left.
• The game plan then changed to trying to get a defensive stop and get the ball back with time left and a chance to tie or win. But with no timeouts left for Davidson, there was miscommunication between the bench and court, and the 'Cats fouled Loesing with 35 seconds left. The junior hit both free throws, pushing the margin back to four.
• After a Kuhlman layup, the Wildcats fouled with six seconds left. Martin went 1-for-2 from the free-throw line, leaving the score at 67-64. Davidson tried to run a play to go the length of the court and get a 3-pointer to tie, but Jamar Diggs got a steal and hit two free throws to seal the win.
