DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson got a balanced scoring effort, led by JP Kuhlman's 14 points, and gave up just 15 first-half points to come away with a 76-54 Southern Conference men's basketball victory over Wofford in Belk Arena Monday night.

The Wildcats scored 15 straight points over a 6:51 period in the first half to turn a two-point lead into a 28-11 cushion. Tom Droney scored five of his seven points, and Wofford was 0-for-8 from the floor with two turnovers during the stretch.

Kevin Giltner ended the drought with a jumper, but Davidson went into the locker room with a 32-15 lead. The Wildcats shot 39 percent in the period but held the Terriers to 7-for-26 from the floor and 1-for-7 from 3-point range. Giltner's bucket and a jumper by Cochran were the only points allowed by Davidson over the final 10:11 of the half.

Five straight points from Loesing to start the second frame trimmed the lead to 12 points, but Davidson answered with a 10-4 spurt, capped by a Clint Mann layup, to open an 18-point advantage. The margin grew to 27 following a Cohen layup.

The Terriers were bale to get the lead down to 16 points twice in the final five minutes, but each time Czerapowicz hit a triple to answer.

The Wildcats committed just six turnovers in the game, and outscored Wofford 13-0 from the free-throw line.

Davidson returns to action Thursday as the 'Cats travel to The Citadel for a 7 p.m. SoCon game.
