Wildcats Set to Host Bonnies at Wilson This Weekend

In a stretch of playing mostly on the road, the Davidson baseball team will host Atlantic 10 Conference foe St. Bonaventure at Wilson Field this weekend.
The three-game series begins Friday at 5 p.m., with early afternoon games set for Saturday and Sunday.
It's the only home series in April for the Wildcats, who are playing 12 of 16 games on the road this month.

LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• Davidson enters the weekend playing .500 baseball at 15-15 overall and 6-6 in the A-10. The Wildcats are in a three-way tie for fifth in the 12-team league alongside Fordham and Richmond.
• Davidson has won its last two A-10 series, going 2-1 against Dayton (March 27-29) and George Mason (April 3-4).
• The Wildcats rallied to win the third game of both of those series, beginning with a 9-8, 12-inning win over Dayton, when Aidan Rice delivered a walk-off RBI-single. Last weekend, the Wildcats earned a 7-4 series-clinching win at George Mason by scoring five runs in the ninth, including three on an Anthony Torreso triple.
• Also at Mason, the Wildcats notched their league-leading third shutout of the season, as Cooper Cavanaugh (7 IP) and Simon Yochum (2 IP) limited the Patriots to four hits in a 4-0 win.
• The Wildcats also posted an 8-3 non-conference win over Queens on Tuesday, thanks in part to a Matthew Vannoy grand slam.
