INSIDE THE MATCHUP
This is the seventh meeting between the programs. The Ramblers lead the series 4-2. The Wildcats have lost the last four meetings. Davidson's last win was on January 4, 2023. The Ramblers beat the Wildcats twice last season. Loyola Chicago won 77-69 inside Belk Arena and 82-72 at Gentile Arena. Davidson trailed by nine points at halftime and then outscored the Hawks by 15 points in the second half. The Wildcats shot 30 percent from the floor in the first half and 51.7 percent in the second half. This was Davidson's first time securing a victory despite trailing at the half. Previously, the 'Cats were 0-4 when behind at intermission.
Sam Brown led Davidson with 13 points. With the 'Cats up 55-54 and only 32 seconds left in regulation, Brown drilled a crucial three-point shot.
