
‘Cats Rally Past Saint Joseph’s on the Road, 62-56

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Davidson erased a double-digit deficit in the second half to get past Saint Joseph's, 62-56, in Atlantic 10 men's basketball action Saturday evening inside Hagan Arena.
Trailing 33-22 at the 17:05 mark, the Wildcats, who shot 51.7 percent after intermission, began to slowly chip away, eventually taking its first lead, 53-52, on a Devin Brown layup with 4:55 to play.
After the Hawks went back in front with a pair of free throws, Davidson (9-5, 1-1 A-10) would close on a 9-2 spurt highlighted by a Sam Brown trey with 32 ticks left.
Sam Brown (13), Roberts Blums (11) and Parker Friedrichsen (10) scored in double figures for the Wildcats, who outrebounded Saint Joseph's, 21-8, after intermission to finish with a 31-26 advantage.
In addition, Davidson finished 13-of-16 at the charity stripe, while holding the Hawks to just 38 percent on the night, including 3-of-22 from deep.
Justice Ajogbor was the lone Saint Joseph's (8-7, 0-2 A-10) player in double figures with 11 points.
