'Cats Visit George Washington This Weekend
4/27/2023 4:34:00 PM | Baseball
The second half of the Atlantic 10 Conference baseball season begins this weekend, and for the Davidson Wildcats, that means a trip to George Washington for a three-game series.
Â
Rain in the forecast forced a postponement Friday, so the teams will play a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at noon, followed by a Sunday series finale.
Â
Now 23-16 overall, Davidson is 9-3 in the A-10 and tied with Saint Louis atop the league standings. The Wildcats and Billikens are two games ahead of a pack of four teams — Dayton, Rhode Island, Richmond and Saint Joseph's — that are 7-5.
Â
George Washington is 6-6 in the A-10, tied for seventh with George Mason and VCU.
