DURHAM — Duke struck with 12 runs in the first two innings Tuesday and never looked back in a 19-0 win over Davidson at Jack Coombs Field.
The loss ended Davidson's win streak at four games and dropped the Wildcats to 19-12 overall.
MJ Metz hit a grand slam to highlight the seven-run first, and the Blue Devils were in control from there.
Outfielder Ryan Wilson had three hits, including a first-inning double, to lead the Wildcats. Nick Calero, Anthony Torreso and Joe Haney also had hits.
Davidson utilized six pitchers, with starter Miles Jamieson throwing the first 1.1 innings.

The Wildcats will return to Atlantic 10 Conference play Friday evening when they open a three-game home series against Dayton.
