Wildcats Fall to Aggies in 13 Innings

GREENSBORO — For the second time in less than a week, the Davidson baseball team played extra innings, this time in a 3-2 loss in 13 innings at N.C. A&T Tuesday night.
With the loss, the Wildcats are now 19-5.
After playing to a 2-2 tie through three-and-a-half innings, the Wildcats and Aggies endured eight scoreless innings before Aggie T.J. Ash scored on a wild pitch to end it.
The Aggies took an early 2-0 lead on Camden Jackson's home run in the first inning. Davidson evened the score in the fourth on Jacob Hinderleider's own two-run shot, his fourth of the year.
Michael Carico was the only Wildcat with multiple hits, going 3-for-6 with a double out of the leadoff spot.
The Wildcats used nine pitchers and allowed just two hits, with Will Schomberg, Alex Fenton, Bennett Flynn and Gabe Levy each throwing two scoreless innings.

The Wildcats will open Atlantic 10 Conference play Friday night when they open a three-game home series with Richmond.
