SHELBY, N.C. — Davidson was limited offensively Wednesday night in a 10-1 loss to Gardner-Webb at Keeter Stadium.

The loss is the third straight for Davidson, which fell to 14-10.

Gardner-Webb (14-11) built a 6-0 lead in the first four innings and totaled 14 hits, compared to Davidson's five.
Â
Shortstop Max Bazin was the lone Wildcat with multiple hits. He finished 2-for-3 at the plate, with singles in the third and seventh innings. Eric Jones, Trevor Candelaria and Matt Frey had the other Davidson hits.

The Wildcats got on the board in the eighth inning when Jones singled to left center to score Greg Lowe, who was hit by a pitch.

Gardner-Webb's Chandler Redmond, Corey Howard and the host team's Jones of the same name drove in two runs apiece. Ben LaSpaluto led the Bulldogs with three hits.

Davidson is set to host N.C. Central at 6 p.m. Friday at Wilson Field to start a three-game set with the Eagles. NCCU will host Saturday's game in Durham, and the teams will reconvene in Davidson on Sunday afternoon.
