The Davidson baseball team returns to action Friday to begin a three-game weekend series with Atlantic 10 Conference foe La Salle. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.

It's the Wildcats' first A-10 action after their March 8-10 series with Richmond was canceled due to rain.

Davidson (10-6) has won its last four games, including a three-game home sweep of North Alabama last weekend. The Wildcats then defeated Presbyterian 4-1 Tuesday.

La Salle (12-8) has won three of its last four, including 19-9 against Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday.

Fontes holding top HR spot
Ruben Fontes continues to lead the A-10 with five home runs, one ahead of La Salle's Ben Faso and Dayton's Alex Brickman.
Eric Jones, who hits a team-best .361, and Brett Centracchio are among those with three round-trippers. Centracchio, Fontes and Trevor Candelaria are tied for the team lead with 15 RBI.

Leftfielder Alex Mardiney has joined Jones as Wildcats hitting .300 or above.
He's now hitting .308 after hitting .615 the last four games (8-for-13).
Next in line is second baseman Matt Frey (.294).

Hudson, Levy among league leaders
Right-hander Josh Hudson leads A-10 pitchers with a 1.17 ERA. He has allowed three earned runs in 23 innings and is due to make his fifth start Sunday.
Freshman right-hander Gabe Levy, who has pitched both as a starter and a reliever, ranks fourth in the A-10 with a 1.53 ERA.
