THE SERIES   
• This is just the second meeting between the two teams. The Wildcats and Rams kicked off the all-time series on March 13, 1985 when Davidson downed URI, 13-6, at Wilson Field.
 
THE 'CATS
• The Wildcats enter the weekend 13-10 overall and 3-3 in the A-10. Davidson is coming off a 6-3 loss to Winthrop on Tuesday.
• Outfielder Lee Miller leads the squad with a .341 batting average with 13 runs, 31 hits and 24 RBI in 91 at bats.
• On the mound, RHP Clark Beeker leads the team with a 4.89 ERA, allowing 58 hits, 39 runs and has 43 strikeouts in 42.1 innings pitched.
• After this weekend series, Davidson will play an exhibition game against the Charlotte Knights Monday, April 6 at 3 p.m. at BB&T BallPark.
 
THE RAMS
• The Rams enter the weekend 7-10-1 overall and 1-2 in the A-10. Rhode Island is coming off a 8-1 win against UMass Lowell Wednesday.   
• Infielder Mike Corin leads the squad with a .306 batting average with 10 runs, 19 hits and 18 RBI in 62 at bats. Two other Rams have over a .300 batting average.
• LHP Tyler Wilson leads the team on the mound with a 1,84 ERA, allowing 13 hits, seven runs and has 27 strikeouts in 29.1 innings pitched.
 
LAST TIME OUT
• Four runs in the eighth inning lifted the Winthrop Eagles over the Davidson Wildcats, 6-3, Tuesday night at Winthrop Ballpark.  
• After two walks, Wintrop (19-10) recorded three hits that scored four runs to take a 6-3 lead in the eighth that eventually secured the game and dropped the Wildcats to 13-10.  
• Winthrop outhit Davidson, 10-9, while it committed two errors compared to the Wildcats' one. Second baseman Sam Foy led the Wildcats with three hits, one run and two RBI in five at bats, while three Eagles notched two hits each for the win.
• On the mound, RHP Nick Neitzel started the day off for the 'Cats, allowing just two hits in 2.0 innings. LHP Evan Roberts allowed the first Eagle run off three hits and struck out four in 3.2 innings. Two other Wildcats pitched a combined 1.2 innings and allowed two runs, before RHP Cody White allowed three runs off one hit, while walking two.
