THE SERIES   
• This is the 39th meeting between the two teams and Winthrop leads the all-time series, 26-11-1, which dates back to April 25, 1980. The Wildcats are 1-1 against Big South opponents, falling at High Point and edging Presbyterian at home.
 
THE 'CATS
• The Wildcats enter Tuesday 13-9 overall and are coming off a 1-2 weekend series versus Saint Louis.
• Outfielder Lee Miller leads the squad with a .326 batting average as he has collected 13 runs, 29 hits and 24 RBI in 89 at bats.
• On the mound, RHP Clark Beeker leads the team with a 4.79 ERA, allowing 57 hits, 38 runs and has 42 strikeouts in 41.1 innings pitched.
• Davidson has faced two other Big South opponents this season, hosting Presbyterian on March 7 (W, 5-4) and traveling to High Point last week (L, 15-2).
 
THE EAGLES
• The Eagles enter Tuesday 18-10 overall and are coming off a 1-2 weekend series at Coastal Carolina.  
• Catcher Roger Gonzalez leads the squad with a .412 batting average as he has recorded 15 runs, 40 hits and 21 RBI in 97 at bats. Two other Eagles have over a .300 batting average.
• LHP Matt Crohan leads the team on the mound with a 2.00 ERA, allowing 25 hits, 10 runs and has 47 strikeouts in 36.0 innings pitched.
 
LAST TIME OUT
• The Wildcats dropped its second game to preseason A-10 favorite Saint Louis, 6-1, Sunday afternoon at Wilson Field. Six-straight Billiken runs before Davidson scored in the ninth solidified the contest for SLU.
• Saint Louis outhit the Wildcats, 10-3, while Davidson picked up two errors. Third baseman Braxton Martinez led both squads with two hits, one run and two RBI in five at bats, while left fielder Lee Miller led the Wildcats with two hits, one run and on RBI, which included his first homerun of the season.
• On the mound, RHP Ryan Lowe charted his first loss of the season for Davidson, allowing three runs off five hits with eight strikeouts. RHP Zach Girrens got the win for SLU as he pitched 7.1 innings with only allowing two hits with nine strikeouts.
