• After a week break for the Holiday, Davidson returns to action Saturday evening with a 6 p.m. contest at Richmond.
• The Wildcats enter the 42nd all-time meeting 6-5 overall following a 69-58 setback at Drexel a week ago.
• Last year's SoCon Players of the Year De'Mon Brooks (15.3 ppg/6.2 rpg) and Jake Cohen (12.1 ppg/5.1 rpg) continue to lead the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding.
• A career 88.3 percent shooter at the charity stripe, Nik Cochran has made 38-of-40 attempts (.950) this year and 54 of his last 57 free throws dating back to last season.
• Cochran is currently tied for fourth in the country in free-throw percentage.
• As a team, the Wildcats are shooting 78.1 percent (175-224) from the free-throw line, which ranks tied for fifth nationally.
• In addition to Davidson ranking among national leaders in 3-pointers made, 3-pointers per game and 3-point field-goal percentage, Chris Czerapowicz ranks 34th with a .511 clip from deep.
• Davidson has led by at least seven points in 10 of their 11 contests this year, including double figures against Emory, New Mexico, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Chattanooga, Wofford and UNCW.
 
Series History
• Davidson leads the all-time series, which began in the 1939-40 campaign, 29-12.
• The Wildcats won last year's meeting in Belk Arena, 74-61, November 14, 2011.
• Prior to last season's meeting, the schools had not played since a 72-69 Richmond win in 1976.
• The Wildcats won 15 straight in the series from 1967-73. Richmond won the first six games in the series.
• Thirty-six meetings in the series came between 1961-1976.
 
Kuhlman Named Cousy Candidate
• The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame recently announced that JP Kuhlman has been named a candidate for the 2013 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award.
• The annual honor, named for Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic Bob Cousy, recognizes the top point guards in men's college basketball. Over 80 candidates have been nominated for the 2013 Bob Cousy Award.
