The Terriers came out swinging well in the first two sets, hitting .300 and .310, respectively, with just a combined 12 errors while picking 40 kills. Davidson saw Wofford use a 5-0 run to take command of the set at 20-15, though a kill from Brown later got the 'Cats to within two, 24-22, before seeing Wofford earn the 25-22 win on a kill.

The Wildcats took the lead twice over the next couple points, but fell behind 22-21. Then down 23-21, they knot things up at 23-all on two attack errors only to then see Woodlee and Liguori end it for Wofford with a pair of kills.
Out of the break, Davidson came back regrouped and was nearly perfect in the set. The Wildcats had just one error and hit at a .583 clip in taking a 25-14 third-set win. They broke open the set by rattling off a 12-3 run midway through that broke up a 7-7 tie. Tindall Sewell and Taylor Pisel each had two kills during the spurt, and the 'Cats were never threatened the rest of the way.
The momentum continued for Davidson when it jumped out to a 6-1 lead in set four, but it was short-lived as Wofford tied things up at 9-all later. A kill from Pisel and an Terrier attack error gave the 'Cats back the lead a few points later at 13-11, but Wofford took control of the set by rattling off points in nine of the next 14 possessions for a 20-16 lead and eventually the 25-22 win.
The 'Cats will gear up for the SoCon Tournament, Nov. 18-20. Samford will be the host school this year.
