Wildcats Visit George Washington in A-10 Series

Having won its last four Atlantic 10 series, the Davidson baseball team will visit league foe George Washington this weekend.
It's the seventh of 10 conference weekends and the Wildcats' fourth on the road.
LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• The Wildcats are 20-18 overall and 11-7 in the A-10.
• Through 18 of 30 league games, Davidson is tied with VCU for second in the 12-team standings, five games behind frontrunner Saint Joseph's.
• In A-10 play, the Wildcats have earned 2-1 series victories over Dayton, George Mason and Saint Louis and swept St. Bonaventure. They dropped series to Fordham and La Salle.
• Davidson is in a stretch of playing eight of nine games on the road.
• Prior to last Sunday's series finale loss at Saint Louis, the Wildcats had won seven straight league games and eight of their last nine overall.
• The Wildcats have lost their last two games, including 18-2 to Radford on Tuesday in their final midweek home contest.

• Last weekend, reliever Simon Yochum struck out a career-best eight while throwing a career-high 5.1 innings against Saint Louis.
• Outfielder Scotty Edwards leads the Wildcats with a .342 average and a 1.078 OPS and has hit six home runs.
• Freshman infielder/outfielder Matt Manjooran is hitting .333 with five home runs and team-highs of 10 doubles, four triples, 81 total bases and 42 RBIs.
• Sophomore center fielder Jamie Daly is the team leader with eight homers and nine stolen bases. He's hitting .311 with a 1.013 OPS.

• The Revolutionaries are in a three-way tie for sixth with Fordham and Rhode Island.
• GW has won its last five games, including midweek contests against Navy and Georgetown and a road sweep of VCU last weekend.
• Also in the A-10, the Revs have posted 2-1 series wins against La Salle and Rhode Island. They dropped series to Saint Louis and St. Bonaventure and were swept by league leader Saint Joseph's.
