DAVIDSON, N.C. – Fresh off back-to-back victories, Davidson hosts VCU on Saturday evening at 5 p.m. inside John M. Belk Arena. The Wildcats are 12-6 (4-2) on the season and the Rams sit at 13-6 (4-2). This game is part of a "RED OUT" doubleheader with the Davidson women's basketball team playing VCU at 12 p.m. on Saturday.

INSIDE THE MATCHUP
This is the 23rd meeting between the two programs. VCU has won the last six meetings. Davidson's last win against the Rams came on January 18, 2022. The 2022 A-10 Player of the Year, Luka Brajkovic, led the 'Cats with 19 points in that game. As of January 22, VCU ranks third in the A-10 in scoring offense (84.9 PPG) and Davidson ranks 10th in the league (72.7 PPG). Davidson averages the third-fewest turnovers per game in the A-10 (10.9) and VCU averages the fifth fewest (11.1).

LAST GAME
Davidson took down Fordham 68-63 at home on Wednesday night. 10 of the 11 Wildcats who played in the game scored. Josh Scovens led the 'Cats with 19 points (8-11 FG) and 17 of them came in the second half. Roberts Blums tallied 14 points and reached double figures for the 11th time this season.
The 'Cats trailed by four points at the half and outscored Fordham 42-33 in the second half. The is just the second time this season that Davidson won a game despie trailing at intermission.
PUT THE A-10 ON NOTICE
Devin Brown's season-high 17 points last week at George Washington earned him A-10 Rookie of the Week honors. Davidson's other A-10 weekly award this season came in November (Nick Coval).
MR. 1,000
Josh Scovens reached 1,000-point mark for his college career earlier this week against Fordham. In two seasons at Army, the Greensboro native scored 824 points. He is averaging 9.9 points per game this season.
BLOCK PARTY
Sean Logan is averaging 2.3 blocks per game in just 11 games this season. The senior has blocked eight shots in his last three games played. Logan has 112 career blocks, which currently ranks fifth in Davidson program history. Peyton Aldridge is fourth with 116 career blocks. Jake Cohen is at the top of that list with 197.
BLUMS BENCH BOOST
Roberts Blums is one of just two players in the Atlantic 10 this season who leads his team in scoring while coming off the bench. Blums has played in all 18 games with zero starts. He has scored in double figures 11 times this season and only did this five times last season. VCU's Terrence Hill Jr. also has come off the bench in all 19 games this season and leads the Rams with 14.5 points per game.
FRIEDRICHSEN FIREWORKS
Parker Friedrichsen scored a career-high 27 points at Loyola Chicago on January 7. The junior made a career-high six triples on just eight attempts. Friedrichsen is one of four Wildcats this season to score more than 20 points in a game. This is also the most points in a game by an individual on Davidson this season.
BALANCE
Davidson has eight scholar-athletes who average at least 15 minutes per game this season. No one on the roster is averaging more than 25 minutes per game. The last time Davidson didn't have anyone average 30 or more minutes per game in a season was the 2001-02 squad.
