In the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament for the eighth time, the Davidson baseball team opens play in the seven-team, double-elimination event Tuesday when the fourth-seeded Wildcats face No. 5 Saint Joseph's.
First pitch is set for 11 a.m. at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va. The tournament will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Davidson enters 25-27 overall and 18-12 in the A-10 after closing the regular season with a 2-1 series win at Richmond.
The Wildcats are seeking their second A-10 tournament championship after most recently winning the 2022 regular season title.
A-10 TOURNAMENT HISTORY
• The Wildcats' only A-10 tournament crown came in 2017, when Davidson, seeded sixth, went 5-1 to win the event in St. Louis.
• That 2017 postseason run ultimately ended with an NCAA Chapel Hill Regional championship and a trip to the College Station Super Regionals.
• The Wildcats are 16-13 all-time in the A-10 Tournament and have won at least a game in each postseason.
• Davidson is 7-8 this year against the A-10 Tournament field, including 3-0 against Fordham and 1-2 against Dayton, George Mason, Saint Joseph's and Saint Louis.
• The Wildcats did not play top-seeded Rhode Island during the 10-series regular season.
