Baseball Hosts N.C. A&T Tuesday

Coming off an Atlantic 10 Conference series victory over Richmond, the Davidson baseball team will host its final non-conference game of the season Tuesday when N.C. A&T visits.
First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m. at Wilson Field.

LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• Davidson enters 16-22 (4-8 A-10) after winning two of three games against Richmond at home.
• Infielder Eli Putnam is setting the tone offensively. He leads the A-10 with 42 RBIs and ranks second in the league in slugging percentage (.653) and OPS (1.115).
• Putnam also leads the Wildcats with a .361 average, 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 94 total bases.
• Infielder Michael O'Shaughnessy has been consistent as well, hitting .315 with a 1.020 OPS, eight home runs and 41 RBIs.
• Catcher Jacob Friend ranks atop the A-10 with 37 walks and is second with a .509 on-base percentage. He's hitting .302 with a 1.080 OPS, seven home runs and 21 RBIs.
• Catcher/designated hitter Noah Jouras is hitting .340 since becoming a regular in the lineup.

• N.C. A&T is 21-18 and 5-10 in the CAA after winning one of three against league foe Delaware over the weekend.
• Infielder Tatsunori Negishi is hitting a team-best .399 (55-for-138) with a 1.115 OPS, 15 doubles, four home runs and 26 RBIs.
• Infielder Tre Williams and catcher Canyon Brown join Negishi with a team-high four home runs, and Brown has driven in a team-best 39 runs.
• Outfielder Michael Logan is hitting .303.

• Davidson leads the all-time series 27-3 and has won the last two meetings.
• That includes a 7-1 win over the Aggies on March 12 in Greensboro.
