'Cats Drop Series Opener at Saint Louis

Davidson fell to 14-18 overall and 2-5 in the A-10, while the Billikens improved to 23-8 and 5-2 in the league.
Canon's first career blast provided the Wildcats' first run in the fifth, and Friend's three-run shot, his sixth this year, tied the game at 6-6 in the seventh.
In the two-run fifth, Aidan Rice drove in a run with a single, and Jake Wilhoit's RBI-single was part of the four-run seventh. Friend, Canon and Nick Calero finished with two hits apiece.
Starter Wilson Perkins threw 6.1 innings in the loss.
