Wildcats Drop Series Finale at TTU

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — The Davidson baseball team overcame an early three-run deficit to take the lead Sunday afternoon, but ultimately, it was Tennessee Tech that took the 9-4 win in the series rubber match.
With the loss, the Wildcats fell to 7-12, while TTU improved to 12-8.
After falling behind early, Davidson took a 4-3 lead thanks to a three-run fifth inning that included four hits. Jake Wilhoit plated two runs with a single to left, and Nick Calero added an RBI-single to right.
But TTU scored two runs in the each of the next three innings to take control.
Davidson's first run came on a Noah Jouras RBI-single in the fourth. Calero led the Wildcats with three hits, while Jouras, Wilhoit, Jed Howard and Michael O'Shaughnessy had two apiece.
Starter Ryan Feczko threw the first 2.2 innings before handing the ball to Brycen Champey (1-2) and the bullpen.

The Wildcats will face Charlotte Tuesday night at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis.
