WILDCAT SCRATCHES
• Davidson enters Tuesday's match up at 13-10 overall and 3-7 in league play, earning all three Atlantic 10 victories on the road.
• Of the Wildcats' seven conference losses, five have come within five points or less. Two have been in overtime.
• Point guard Grant Huffman leads the 'Cats in scoring (13.6 ppg) and paces the Atlantic 10 with 5.0 assists per game. His 114 total assists is good for second-best in the league, while the senior is averaging 15.7 points per game since the start of conference play.
BETTER EVERY DAY
• One of the Wildcats' philosophies is to get better everyday, and Davidson has seen the fruits of that labor at the end of the year.
• Since 2003-04, the Wildcats own a 117-36 record in the month of February.
• Davidson is 54-33 in March during that time.
CK 1K
• In addition to scoring his 1,000th career point, Davidson's Connor Kochera finished with a game-high 19 points to lead the Wildcats past Duquesne, 72-59, last Wednesday inside UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
• A native of Arlington Heights, Ill., Kochera scored 564 points in two years at William & Mary, before becoming the fifth transfer and 55th player in a Davidson uniform to join the 1000-point club.
• In conference play, the senior is averaging 11.3 points per game with five double-digit performances and a pair of 19-point efforts.
LAST TIME OUT
• Keyshawn Hall scored a game-high 25 points and hit a pair of 3-pointers down the stretch to lead George Mason past Davidson 57-55 in Atlantic 10 men's basketball action Saturday afternoon inside Belk Arena.
• Despite the setback, Reed Bailey scored 22 points to lead the Wildcats, who shot just 34.6 percent from the floor. Connor Kochera and Bobby Durkin also reached double figures for Davidson, respectively.
• In a game that featured eight ties and nine lead changes, the Patriots used a 9-0 spurt midway through the second half to go in front for good.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
• The Explorers dropped a contest at conference leader Richmond on the road Saturday, 82-65.
• Despite the final score, the game featured several momentum swings, with eight lead changes in the second half alone. La Salle held the lead with nine minutes remaining in the second half, but the Explorers ran out of gas late.
• Senior guard Khalil Brantley led the Explorers with 22 points, his most since scoring 23 at Miami in December. The guard scored in double figures for the fifth straight game.
THE LAST MEETING
• A season ago, Sam Mennenga scored 27 points and 11 rebounds while Foster Loyer netted his 1,000th career point in Davidson's 64-57 win inside Tom Gola Arena.
• David Skogman joined the duo in double figures, scoring 11 points.
