Davidson Falls 5-0 to UMass

DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson women's soccer team fell 5-0 to UMass Sunday at Alumni Stadium.
Five different players contributed to the Minutewomen's offensive output over the match, highlighted by a four-goal second half and Bella Recinos assisting on two goals.
UMass struck late in the first half with Hannah Peric netting the first goal in the 35th minute followed by Emma Pedolzky (50:50), Fiona Kane (PK - 58:21), Emily McCormack (68:33) and Lauren Robles (75:28) all converted on second-half attempts.
Despite the loss, the Wildcats scattered 10 shots with six being on goal over the match. Alli Jacobson led the way for Davidson with four shots and two on target.
Emily Smith matched a career-high 11 saves over a 90-minute showing.
Davidson moves to 3-7-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the Atlantic 10 while UMass improves to 6-3-2 overall and 3-1-0 in A-10 competition.
For the game, the Minutewomen held advantages in shots (26-10) and shots on goal (16-6) while the 'Cats led in corner kicks (4-3).
