'Cats Rally Past Blue Hose 7-4 on the Road

Now winners of four of their last five, the Wildcats improved to 10-10.
Wilson hit his team-leading ninth home run of the season, a two-run blast, in the first inning, but the Wildcats ultimately had to overcome a 4-2 deficit. They did just that in the seventh.
After Jake Wilhoit led off with a double, Jacob Hinderleider singled him in to cut the Blue Hose lead to one run. Then Jack Cotrone and Jacob Friend drew bases-loaded walks to produce a three-run inning and a 5-4 lead.
Davidson got more separation in the ninth thanks to Anthony Torreso's two-run double to left, which scored Cotrone and Friend.
Nick Shedleski then shut the door in the bottom half, earning his second save. Shedleski pitched the final three innings, allowing one hit and striking out three, and wrapped up a solid pitching night for the Wildcats, who allowed only one earned run.
AJ Pabst (2 IP), Danny Rosenfield (1 IP) and Ed Hall (2 IP) followed starter Bennett Flynn (1 IP), with Hall pitching scoreless fifth and sixth innings to earn his first career win and set up Shedleski.

The Wildcats will host Tennessee Tech for three games this weekend, with the first set for Friday at 5:30 p.m.
