Lock Haven Holds Off Davidson 2-1

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — A late third-quarter Lock Haven goal proved to be the difference in a 2-1 Davidson field hockey loss Sunday afternoon.
The Wildcats exit the weekend 5-9 overall and 0-4 in the Atlantic 10, while Lock Haven improved to 4-7 and 2-2.
Sib Naaktgeboren's sixth goal of the year, this one off an assist from Bella Worthington, tied the game at 1-1 just 1:36 into the second quarter. Naaktgeboren finished with game-highs of six shots and three shots-on-goal.
Lock Haven struck 4:09 into the first on a fastbreak goal from Deana Campbell.
The Bald Eagles took the lead for good with 1:16 left in the third on a goal by Alyssa Endrick.
Davidson finished with a 12-6 shots advantage, including 7-4 on shots-on-goal. The Wildcats also led the penalty corner count 7-3 and had four in the fourth quarter.
