LATEST ON THE 'CATS
The Wildcats are 5-9 overall and 0-4 in the Atlantic 10 after going 1-1 last weekend.

Davidson earned a 1-0 home win over Ball State last Friday night, as Sib Naaktgeboren scored early in the third quarter and the Wildcats defense, anchored by keeper Cato Roell, notched its first shutout.
Â
On Sunday, Davidson threatened late, but fell 2-1 at A-10 foe Lock Haven. Naaktgeboren scored the lone Wildcat goal.
Â
• Naaktgeboren ranks second in the A-10 with 3.08 shots per game and 2.00 shots-on-goal per game. With six goals, she's tied for eighth in scoring.
• Abby Pompeo leads Davidson with seven goals, tied for fifth-most in the A-10.
• With 14 points apiece, Naaktgeboren and Pompeo are tied for seventh in the A-10.

Â
SCOUTING UMASS
The Minutewomen, ranked 17th in this week's NFHCA national poll, enter Friday's contest 8-6 overall and 2-2 in the A-10.
Â
UMass has A-10 wins over Saint Louis and La Salle and has lost league games to VCU and, most recently, No. 14 Saint Joseph's by a 2-1 double-overtime margin last Friday. UMass bounced back with a 3-1 non-conference win over UConn two days later.
Â
• UMass features a talented keeper in Myrte van Herwijnen, who was an A-10 First Team pick a year ago. She's won three A-10 Defensive Player of the Week awards this year, including this week, and leads the league with 79 saves and an .814 saves percentage.
• Mali Herberhold, last year's A-10 Rookie of the Year, leads the Minutewomen with five goals and four assists.
PRIDE GAME
Davidson field hockey is dedicating Friday's game to celebrating pride and love for all and spreading the message that, no matter one's sexual orientation or gender expression, field hockey is for everyone. The Wildcats are committed to celebrating diversity and fostering inclusivity.Â
