
'Cats Host Loyola Chicago Sunday

DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson College women's soccer team returns to Alumni Stadium to host Loyola Chicago Sunday in an Atlantic-10 match.Â
*CATS vs. CANCER - Sunday's game will Serevent as a chance for the Wildcats to support the #Vs.Cancer initiative where the team will be raising money to help fund the pediatric brain tumor research & local hospital programs. Bracelets and informational pamphlets about various cancer research organizations will be distributed at the game while any donations can me made HERE.Â
The Wildcats had a week of rest after their most recent 1-0 loss at Fordham on Oct. 1.Â
Davidson enters the weekend with a 3-9-1 record overall and 0-5-1 mark in A-10 competition. The 'Cats will search for their first league win Sunday against the Ramblers who are 5-6-2 overall and 1-2-2 in the conference.Â
Aleia Gisolfi-McCready continues to lead the Wildcats' offense with five points compiled of two goals and one assist while also leading the squad in shots having taken 27 with 14 on target. Following is Savannah Pruitt with a pair of goals.Â
Rounding out Davidson players to have scored a goal this season are Shea Bonacci, SJ Pak and Riley Patton.Â
Emily Smith has played the entirety of all 13 matches in goal for the Wildcats and claims a 1.38 goals against average, .746 save percentage, and 53 saves. Among the conference, Smith is sixth in saves, and 10th in both save percentage and GAA.Â
The Wildcats faced the Ramblers a season ago on Sept. 29 on the road where the 'Cats earned a 1-0 win courtesy of an Alli Jacobson goal and Brooke Ditcham assist.Â

The Ramblers most recently suffered a 4-1 loss to UMass Oct. 1 on the road.Â
Loyola Chicago arrives at Alumni Stadium with 16 goals on the year, averaging 1.2 per game and surrendering 1.5 per game.Â
The Rambler offense is led by Taylor Harrison with 12 points on six goals. Accompanying her is Zoe Hevey with 10 points on three goals and four assists. Harrison is second in the A-10 in goals and seventh in points.Â
Loyola Chicago goalkeeper Naya Lipkens has started in 13 games and has a 1.47 GAA, .678 save percentage and 40 saves to go along with five shutouts this year.Â
