Wildcats Set for Road Match at Richmond

DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson College women's soccer team travels to Richmond for its second-to-last road contest of the season Sunday.
The Wildcats enter the homestretch of the regular season with a 3-10-1 overall record and 0-6-1 mark in Atlantic 10 competition.
Entering the weekend, the Davidson attack continues to be paced by dual sport athlete Aleia Gisolfi-McCready with five points on two goals and one assists, followed by Savannah Pruitt with four points on two goals.
A trio of 'Cats have also netted a goal this season in Shea Bonacci, SJ Pak and Riley Patton. Additionally Patton, Brooke Ditcham, Phoebe Fowler and Lilly Lovell have each dished out one assist apiece.
Starting goalkeeper Emily Smith continues to rank in the top 10 throughout the A-10 as she is ninth in saves (58) and 10th in save percentage (.753) while claiming a 1.36 goals against average and three shutouts.
The Wildcats are set to face a Spiders squad with familiar faces all three member of the coaching staff Adam Denton, Meghan Gill and Errin Stanton who all did stints at Davidson with the women's soccer team.
SCOUTING RICHMOND
The Spiders carry a 3-9-3 overall record and 1-6 league record into their Sunday home match. Most recently, Richmond suffered a 1-0 loss at Loyola Chicago Oct. 12.
As a team, the Spiders total nine goals on the year while landing .455 percent of their shots on target.
Richmond is led by Molly Wierman with 10 points on four goals and two assists and is joined by Hannah Antonick with five points on two goals and one assist.
Taylor Montague has started 14 games in goal for the Spiders and has tallied 60 saves to go along with a 1.20 GAA and .800 save percentage.
Davidson and Richmond most recently met Oct. 20 2022 and battled to a 1-1 draw at Alumni Stadium. Overall, the Spiders lead the series 4-2.
