• Mental Health Awareness Game: Before Thursday's game, the Davidson College Counseling Center will be on hand with information about its services. There will also be giveaways in support of Morgan's Message.
The game will also be part of a scarf giveaway — students who attend this game and also the men's soccer game on Saturday, Sept. 24, will receive a free scarf.

Two games into the Atlantic 10 Conference schedule, the Davidson women's soccer team has two more on its calendar this week.

The Wildcats (7-2-1, 0-2-0 A-10) will host Rhode Island on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Alumni Stadium, then travel to St. Bonaventure for a 1 p.m. Sunday contest.

"We're looking to put 90 minutes together and get on the board in the A-10," said coach Adam Denton. "Two games in, we've had some good performances, but we want to get the results we need."

Denton expects it to be another challenging week in the 10-game league schedule, featuring physical, talented opponents and a lengthy trip north.

"That is part of the challenge with the A-10," he said. "We have to embrace that challenge and be ready."

SCOUTING THE RAMS
Rhode Island is 1-5-4 this season, with the lone win being a 3-2 win over Vermont on Sept. 4.

The Rams have tied in three of their last four games and are 0-1-1 in the A-10 following a 3-2 loss to Duquesne and a 1-1 tie with VCU.

Tierra Garniss leads the Rams with four goals and eight points, while Brooke Cavino has scored three goals.

Davidson holds a 3-2-1 series lead over the Rams, and the teams have split 1-0 games in the last two meetings. A year ago, Rhode Island scored in the second minute to win, while Davidson's Sabine Chandler scored in overtime to give the Wildcats the win in 2019.

SCOUTING THE BONNIES
St. Bonaventure enters Thursday's game at VCU with a 2-2-5 record, including 0-2 in the A-10 with losses to Fordham and Dayton.

Sunday's game will be the sixth meeting between the Wildcats and Bonnies, with the series tied at 2-2-1 following a 2-1 Bona win a year ago in Davidson.

The Bonnies feature a returning A-10 First Team pick in forward Cristina Torres and a Second Team goalkeeper in Chianna Gottinger. Forward Chanel Alexander joined Gottinger on the A-10 All-Rookie team a year ago.

Ami Komori leads the Bonnies with three goals and seven points.
