WASHINGTON, D.C. – Richmond closed on a 10-2 run in the final 1:22 to rally past top-seeded Davidson, 64-62, in the 2022 Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship on Sunday afternoon inside Capital One Arena.
The Wildcats, who await their postseason destination, fall to 27-6 overall, while the Spiders earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament improving to 23-12.
After a frantic back and forth start to the second half, the two teams found themselves deadlocked 53-53, with 6:32 to play.

Davidson had a pair of looks in the closing seconds to tie or win the game, but was unable to convert.
Sam Mennenga led Davidson with 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including four 3-pointers, while frontcourt mate Brajkovic added his second straight double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Michael Jones also scored in double figures for the Wildcats with 17 points.
