Winners of their last six baseball games, the Davidson Wildcats will host N.C. A&T Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at Wilson Field.

Davidson (6-1) is coming off a three-game sweep of No. 22 Bryant this past weekend, which followed a win over Radford and two against Lehigh. Â

"We saw some improvements from our first weekend to the second, and that's encouraging," said Davidson coach Rucker Taylor. "I think we're self-aware enough to know we have a lot to work on. With five games this week, we'll have a chance for some more guys to get game action and hopefully continue to improve."

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats outscored No. 22 Bryant 23-2 en route to three wins over the weekend, led by the starting pitching duo of Nolan DeVos and Blake Hely and the hot bat of catcher Michael Carico.

DeVos and Hely combined to throw 16 scoreless innings and struck out 27 while allowing just five hits. Hely, with one more strikeout and one fewer hit allowed, was named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week Tuesday.

Carico, named A-10 Player of the Week, hit .714 for the week (10-for-14), including five doubles and seven RBIs. He posted a 1.849 OPS and has now doubled in six straight games. He leads the nation with seven doubles.
Through seven games, Carico leads the Wildcats with a .542 average, a 1.489 OPS, 13 hits, 10 RBIs, 20 total bases, an .833Â slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .656.

N.C. A&T enters with a 3-5 record, with all of those wins coming in the last four games.

The Aggies took two of three in a weekend series with UMass-Lowell, then rallied from a 5-1 deficit in the sixth inning Tuesday to beat crosstown rival UNCG 7-5. The Aggies took the lead with three runs in the eighth, including two on Alex Reyna's single.

N.C. A&T currently has three players hitting over .400, led by Anthony Hennings (.474).
