• Coming off their fourth straight win, a 73-67 (ot) victory over Saint Joseph's Wednesday, the Wildcats enter 20-3 overall and remain atop the A-10 standings at 10-1.
• Off to its best start since the 1963-64 season, Davidson has won 19 of its last 20 contests.
• The program's best start came in 1964-65 when the 'Cats started 24-1 before falling in their final game of the year.
• It also marks the 17th time under head coach

• In addition, the Wildcats enter 8-0 in true road games on the year.
• Since joining the A-10, Davidson has won a regular season title (2015), tournament title (2018) and totaled 86 league wins (10.8 per year), while recording an average finish of 4.4 in the 14-team conference and making the tournament semifinals each year.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
• Foster Loyer (16.0), Hyunjung Lee (15.5) and Luka Brajkovic (15.5) are each averaging over 15 points per game for the Wildcats.
• Fellow starter Michael Jones is also averaging double figures at 12.2 per outing.
• Loyer enters 13th nationally in 3-point field-goal percentage, shooting 44.5 percent (57-128).
• In addition, he's second in free-throw percentage (.945 | 86-91).
• Brajkovic, a preseason all-conference selection, is averaging 19.2 points and 7.7 rebounds, while shooting 63.5 percent (80-126) overall and 44.8 percent (13-29) from 3-point range in league play.

INSIDE THE STREAK
• Prior to its first conference setback (VCU - 1/26/22) of the 2021-22 campaign, Davidson strung together 15 straight wins, which at the time was tied with Auburn for the longest in the nation.
• The streak started on day two (Nov. 19) of the Myrtle Beach Invitational with a 72-60 win over Penn.
• The win streak was its longest since the 2012-13 season.
• It also was the seventh time (5th under McKillop) in school history the 'Cats had put together a 15-game win streak.
• The longest streak in program history came in 2007-08 when Davidson reeled off 25 straight en route to an appearance in the Elite 8.

LAST TIME OUT
• Neither a poor shooting night nor a double-digit deficit could deter the Davidson Wildcats Wednesday night, as Bob McKillop's basketball team earned a 73-67 overtime win over Saint Joseph's in Belk Arena.
• Playing their first extra session of the season, the Wildcats took the lead for good at the 2:15 mark of overtime when Michael Jones hit a floater in the lane, was fouled and converted his free throw to make it 67-65 just 10 seconds after hot-shooting Hawks' freshman Erik Reynolds II hit a go-ahead 3-pointer. From there, Hyunjung Lee added a layup off a backdoor cut to make it 69-65, and Jones and Foster Loyer hit two free throws apiece in the final 17 seconds to seal it.
• Loyer finished with a game-high 21 points and hit all eight of his free throws, as Luka Brajkovic added 17 points, Lee had 15 and Jones 11. Sam Mennenga scored seven points and added two key buckets late in the second half as the teams battled to a 60-60 tie through 40 minutes.
• Davidson trailed 29-16 at the 8-minute mark of the first half, following a 10-3 Hawks' run, then pulled within 38-31 by the break. After the Hawks went up 44-33, the Wildcats answered with a 9-1 run to cut it to 45-42. Their first lead since the early moments came following a layup and free throw by Loyer with 9:27 to play in the second half, which made it 49-48 and was part of a 9-0 run.
• Two Loyer free throws tied the game at 60-all with 1:53 to play in regulation, and neither team could find the basket from there, with Lee and Hawk Jordan Hall missing potential game-winning 3-pointers in the final seconds.
• The Wildcats overcame a 2-for-23 performance from the 3-point line, with one of those made treys coming from Lee on the game's first possession.
• Reynolds led the Hawks with 20 points.

UP NEXT
• Davidson will play four of its last six regular season games at home beginning with a Valentine's Day matchup with Duquesne Monday evening at 7 p.m.
