Levy Strikes Out A Dozen in Loss to The Citadel

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Right-hander Gabe Levy struck out a career-high 12, but the Davidson baseball team fell 2-0 to The Citadel Friday night.
Levy, a junior from Seattle, struck out two batters in the first, second and sixth innings and struck out the side in the seventh. In 7.1 innings, he allowed three hits, walked one and tossed 99 pitches. His previous high was 10 strikeouts against Lehigh on Feb. 15, 2020.
The Bulldogs scored both their runs in the eighth off of two hits and a balk. The Wildcats' best threats came with having two runners on and two outs in the eighth and ninth.
Alex Fedje-Johnson led the Wildcats at the plate. He had two of the team's eight hits.
