BATTLE FOR THE HORNETS' NEST TROPHY
• Tuesday's meeting between Davidson and Charlotte is the 48th overall and 39th Hornets' Nest Trophy Game.
• Charlotte leads the series, which began in 1979, 30-17 and is 24-14 in the Hornets' Nest Trophy Game.
• Despite the 49ers winning the last two meetings, Davidson has won six of the last eight.
• The road team has only won five times since the 2004-05 season.
LAST TIME OUT
• Hyunjung Lee scored a game-high 23 points, including 11 of Davidson's first 17, and the Wildcats ran away from Robert Morris 88-70 Saturday in Belk Arena, earning their third straight win.
• Lee and the Wildcats, who won two of three games in last weekend's Myrtle Beach Invitational, pulled away in the second half, as their lead grew to 77-52 with 7:12 to play, following a 9-0 run, capped by two Michael Jones free throws. The 20-point game was the second straight for Lee, after he scored a career-best 25 against East Carolina last Sunday.
• Davidson shot an impressive 66.7 percent in Saturday's second 20 minutes, connecting on 20 of 30 shots from the floor and six of 11 3-point attempts. The Wildcats finished the game with a 36-26 advantage on the boards, a 48-26 advantage on paint points and with 21 assists to just seven turnovers.
• Jones matched his career-high with 15 points, scoring 13 of those in the second half. Desmond Watson scored a season-best 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting, and Luka Brajkovic added 10 points to get within five of 1,000 for his career.
• The Wildcats led for much of the first half, then used an 8-0 spurt late in the half — off threes from Foster Loyer and Watson and a layup by Lee — to retake it and lead 35-31 at the intermission.
