• UNC is coming off two-straight losses at Pittsburgh this past weekend, including a 3-2 setback to the Panthers Sunday that went to 10 innings. The Tar Heels' previous conference loss came against Duke on March 8.
• At the end of February, Atlantic 10 opponent Rhode Island defeated North Carolina, 6-3, in its series finale Saturday, Feb. 28 in Florence, S.C.
