Â
Series History
Campbell leads the all-time series, 6-3.
The two teams haven't met since the quarterfinals of the 1992 Big South Tournament, a game the Camels won 69-60. The following season, Davidson returned to the Southern Conference.
The Wildcats won three of the five meetings as conference foes, including the last two played at Belk Arena.
Â
Scouting the Camels
Under the direction of second-year head coach Kevin McGeehan, Campbell opened its season with a 97-58 win over Barber Scotia Friday evening.
Â
The Camels return four of the team's top-five scorers from last year's club that finished 12-20 overall and 6-10 in Big South play.
Â
Campbell was predicted to finish eighth in the Big South preseason poll.
Â
Reco McCarter led CU a year ago in scoring and rebounding averaging 12.7 points and 5.1 rebounds, respectively.
Â
Local Product Signs During Early Period
KiShawn Pritchett of nearby Lake Norman High School has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Davidson men's basketball team in 2015-16.
A 6-6, 220 guard from Mooresville, N.C., Pritchett averaged 17.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 2.0 steals per game, while leading LNHS to a 28-2 record and berth in the N.C. 4A championship game a year ago.
