• Davidson enters Saturday's tilt 12-7 overall and 7-1 in the SoCon following a 79-74 win at Western Carolina.
• Thursday against the Catamounts, senior Nik Cochran became the first Wildcat since Stephen Curry to score 30 points in a contest.
• In addition to a career-high 32 points, including 26 in the second half, the league's top 3-point shooter scored 21 of his club's first 22 points in the second period, while finishing 10-of-13 from the floor, 6-of-8 from long range and 6-for-6 at the stripe.
• In conference games, Davidson is outscoring its opponents by 13.3 points per game, while averaging nine 3-pointers per contest.
• The 'Cats are 99-21 (.825) in their last 120 regular-season Southern Conference games, dating back to the 2006-07 season.
• The Wildcats are 48-12 (.800) in their last 60 conference games on the road.

• Davidson's all-time leader in free-throw percentage at 89.0 percent, Cochran has made 84 of his last 88 free throws dating back to last season.
• Cochran (.958), Brooks (.847) and Cohen (.824) each rank among the Top-100 free-throw shooters in the country.
• Davidson leads the SoCon in free-throw percentage (.798), 3-point field goals (150), 3-point field-goal percentage (.375) and 3-pointers per game (7.9), while ranking second in scoring margin (+6.0), fewest turnovers per game (11.9) and assist/turnover ratio (1.1).­
• Davidson has led by at least seven points in 16 of their 19 contests this year, including by double figures in 13 of those games.
• The Wildcats have led or been tied at the half in 15 of their 19 contests.
• Davidson is 10-1 this season when scoring 70 points or more.
 
Series History
• Davidson leads the all-time series 38-32, but Appalachian State has won three of the last four meetings.
• In the last meeting, De'Mon Brooks scored the last seven points in a decisive 10-0 run late in the game as Davidson topped Appalachian State 83-79 on Jan. 14, 2012 in the Holmes Center.
• The Mountaineers swept the season series in 2009-10, becoming the first SoCon team to sweep the regular-season series against Davidson since the 2000-01 campaign.
• The series began with a 52-49 Wildcat victory in the 1945-46 season.
