The 2019 season marks Pudge Breitwise's 10th assisting the Davidson volleyball program.
Breitwise is a coaching veteran, having coached various sports at the high school level for more than three decades in New York, including 29 years at Corning West High, his alma mater. He primarily coached basketball, but also helped in lacrosse and football and for 13 years as a JV volleyball coach. After moving to Cornelius in 2008, he assisted with the basketball teams at Hough High.
Breitwise was inducted into Corning-Painted Post Sports Hall of Fame in 1991 as a basketball player.
Breitwise and his wife, LuAnn, have three children (Kristen, Brad, Luke) and eight grandchildren.
