Davidson Drops Match To Dayton

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Despite a straight-set loss to Dayton, Cayla Weisner and Mia Compas combined for 12 kills and both had a .375 hitting percentage.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the opening set. Cayla Weisner had four kills in this frame. Dayton rallied and grabbed the first set 25-22 despite a lower team hitting percentage.
The Flyers won the second set 25-27 and then took the third set 25-15.
Elena Garcia-Guerrios notched her seventh double-double of the season today with 10 kills and 10 digs. Jordan Hummel contributed with two service aces and nine digs.
Emma Slusser, who hadn't played since September 6, made her return to the floor this weekend. In two matches, the senior recorded 10 kills. Nine of these kills occurred in the first match on Friday night.
