2020 (Shortened by COVID-19): Made three relief appearances, covering 1.1 innings.
2019: Became a reliable bullpen option, making 18 appearances and totaling 19.2 innings • Finished with a 5.03 ERA and a 2-1 record • Totaled 32 strikeouts, including a high of three in four outings • Struck out the side in the ninth inning and earned a save against Toledo March 3 • Earned wins against La Salle (3/24) and N.C. A&T (5/1) • Threw a season-high 3.2 innings against Dayton in the Atlantic 10 Tournament (5/24) to keep the Wildcats within striking distance.
2018: Made 19 appearances with two starts • His first collegiate start came against Winthrop (4/17), where he allowed just one hit and a walk over two innings • In second start, allowed just one hit across five innings, facing just two batters over his minimum (5/8 at NC Central) • Tallied career-high four strikeouts in his debut vs. Lafayette (2/18) • Finished with a 3.34 ERA across 29.2 innings with 18 strikeouts.
Before Davidson: Attended Cardinal Gibbons High where he excelled in both baseball and basketball… Two-time All-Conference honoree and named to the All-Metro team during his junior season… Also helped lead the Crusaders to back-to-back conference championships in 2015 and 2016… carried a career ERA of 1.78 with 15 career wins and 174 strikeouts… threw five complete games during his senior campaign.
Personal: Born on May 12, 1999… Son of Jim and Annette Bloomberg… planning to major in mathematics.
