Wildcats Blanked at Saint Louis

Saint Louis, Mo. – The Davidson women's soccer team took a 2-0 loss on the road against Saint Louis Sunday afternoon.
The loss moves the Wildcats' record to 4-3-1 and fall to 0-1 in Atlantic-10 competition while the seven-time defending champion Billikens open conference play with a win and improve to 6-2-1.
The Billikens jumped out to an early lead in the 13th minute while putting up 12 shots against Grace Stair and the Wildcat defense in first half. Saint Louis closed of the first frame with a goal in the 32nd minute that held until the end of the game.
Davidson's defense improved in the second half, facing 15 shots without giving up a goal while Stair made six saves. Despite the scoreless second half for the 'Cats, Saint Louis' defense allowed little breathing room, allowing 5 totals shots and one shot on target.
Charlotte Hansen was the lone Wildcat to make a shot on target and Stair managed seven saves in the 90 minutes of action.
