9/25/2025 11:49:00 PM | Women's Soccer
DAVIDSON, N.C. - Wildcats senior SJ Pak and sophomore Sophia Whiddon netted second half goals to rally from a one goal deficit and lead the Davidson women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory Thursday night over St. Bonaventure.
Davidson, now 5-3-1, claims their first Atlantic 10 win of the season after the comeback victory.
The Bonnies put the 'Cat in a 1-0 hole just before halftime break with Hannah Walker scoring in the 43rd minute. Davidson controlled the tempo for much of the game, allowing only two shots on net for the entire match.
Whiddon, the team's leading scorer, collected a bouncing ball in the box at the 51st minute mark and scored her fourth goal of the season. The sophomore has now scored three goals in her last four games and is up to 10 points on the season.
In the 68th minute, the game was halted due to lightning and was delayed for nearly two hours. Despite the long delay, the 'Cats came out firing, outshooting the Bonnies 10-0 in the second half.
Pak came through for the Wildcats in the 84th minute, receiving a touch from Dakota Lyons and defecting her shot off a few St. Bonaventure players for the game winner.
Overall, Davidson outshot the Bonnies 23-2 in the match, and held a 8-1 corner kick advantage.
