Blums and Coval Leads ‘Cats Past The Citadel, 79-63

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The backcourt duo of Roberts Blums and Nick Coval scored 16 points each off the bench to lead Davidson past The Citadel, 79-63, Thursday night inside Belk Arena.
Josh Scovens (15) and Sam Brown (10) also added double figures for the Wildcats, who improved to 7-1 overall.
Davidson, which led 36-29 at the break, connected on 12-of-29 3-pointers, including four from Blums, who added five rebounds to go along with his career high.
Clinging to a six-point advantage midway through the second half, Davidson took control with a 16-7 spurt to push the margin to double figures where it would stay.
Christian Moore and Gabe Hernandez led the way for The Citadel (2-7) with 10 points each.
Despite going just 13-of-21 at the line, the Wildcats finished with a 36-31 edge on the glass, including 13 on the offensive end that led to 14 second-chance points.
