Wildcats Shut Down at Saint Joseph’s

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Davidson women's soccer team took a 2-0 loss on the road against Saint Joseph's Thursday.
The loss moves the Wildcats' record to 6-4-1 overall and 2-2 in Atlantic 10 competition while the Hawks improve to 4-7-1 on the year and 1-3 in the league.
Saint Joe's ended the first half with a late goal in the 36th minute and held 8-4 shot advantage heading into the break. The 'Cats managed three shots on goal in the first frame.
Up 1-0 in the second half, the Hawks continued to attack, scoring goals in the 52nd and 68th minutes to extend their lead.
Sophia Whiddon led the Wildcats with three shots and two shots on target while Grace Stair made seven saves in net.

The Wildcats will look to rebound on Sunday, Oct. 5, when they host Fordham in Alumni Stadium at 1 p.m.
